I had wanted to write a longer blogpost for this outfit, one that told the stories of two women close to me, and how cancer affected their lives. The full stories will have to wait, as reals has been nipping at my heels (and pulling me away from everything online) for the past few weeks.
The 10th Annual Clothing Fair benefitting Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society has its last day tomorrow. In that time, I highly suggest you find the Pin Up sim, and find the sweet little trailer housing Sweet Tea Couture.
This is the outfit, Cary, with dress, shoes, appliers for all different mesh bodies and color-change HUDs for dress and shoes. The pink made me think of my chain sister and close friend, Pudding, who lost her mother to cancer not so very long ago. I can’t even begin to fathom my mother being taken from me like that. It makes me just want to hug Pudds even more.
Purple reminds me of my heart-sister (and chain sister for a couple weeks), CuriousDeb Writer. Debs fought and fought and fought cancer, not telling all that many people she even had it because she didn’t want to be seen as “Debs who has cancer”, but just be treated like “Debs”. She beat it. She was just over a year and a half cancer-free when the stress and the toll of the treatments for so long finally were too much for her body. It’s been nearly four years, and I still miss her, but it’s tempered with the knowledge that she did beat cancer – it didn’t get her.
Less than 24 hours left in this year’s Clothing Fair. Even if you’ve already been, GO AGAIN! Now! Shoo! Go, go, go!!!
